Why GoHighLevel A2P Registration Gets Rejected and How to Resubmit
GoHighLevel A2P registration rejected? Do not resubmit the same information and hope for a different result. Open the rejection details, correct every listed issue and review the entire campaign before sending it again.
What we check first: When our team reviews an A2P rejection, we compare the website, opt-in form, privacy language and campaign answers as one complete record. A small mismatch can cause another rejection even when each item looks acceptable on its own.
Most A2P rejections are not caused by one complicated technical problem. They usually come from information that cannot be verified or does not match across the business profile, website, consent form, campaign description and sample messages.
We use the process below when reviewing a rejected GoHighLevel A2P application. It helps us find the real issue, correct the supporting pages and avoid another failed review.
Go to Settings → Phone Numbers → Trust Center, open the rejected campaign and select View required fixes. Correct every rejection reason, then check the legal business details, website, privacy policy, terms, opt-in form, use case and sample messages before resubmitting.
What a GoHighLevel A2P rejection actually means
A2P 10DLC campaigns are reviewed so carriers can confirm who is sending messages, why the messages are being sent and how each contact gave permission to receive them.
A rejection means the reviewer could not verify part of your submission or found that the information did not meet the campaign requirements. It does not always mean the business is permanently blocked from sending SMS.
HighLevel now shows an error code, rejection category, explanation and correction needed for each failed campaign. One campaign can have more than one rejection reason, so open every listed item before making changes.
Important: Some errors can be corrected in the existing campaign. If a locked field such as the use case or opt-in message must change, you may need to create a new campaign. Disallowed or high-risk content may not qualify for standard resubmission.
GoHighLevel A2P registration rejected: 9 common reasons
The legal business information does not match
The legal name, EIN or registered address must match the business tax record. A trading name, shortened company name, incorrect entity type or PO Box can cause the brand registration to fail. If the business uses a DBA, explain the relationship clearly and keep the same naming across the website and campaign.
The website cannot verify the business
The website must load, identify the business and support the submitted use case. Rejections happen when the URL is broken, the site is unfinished, the business name is missing or the reviewer cannot find the form used to collect SMS consent.
The opt-in method is unclear or cannot be checked
Writing “customers opt in on our website” is not enough. Provide the direct URL to the form and explain each step. If the form is behind a login, inside a calendar or collected offline, provide a public screenshot or other proof that a reviewer can open.
The SMS consent checkbox is missing or preselected
SMS consent must be a separate, optional action. The checkbox should not be selected by default, hidden inside general terms or required before someone can submit the form. Marketing consent should also be separated from purely informational messages when both are used.
The consent disclosure is incomplete
The text beside the checkbox should identify the brand, explain what messages will be sent, state the expected frequency, mention that message and data rates may apply and explain how to reply STOP. Link to the privacy policy and terms from the same area.
The privacy policy allows mobile data sharing
A privacy policy that says customer information may be shared with marketing partners can conflict with the SMS consent requirements. The policy should clearly explain that mobile information and consent data are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
The use case and campaign description are too vague
“We text our customers” does not explain enough. State who receives the messages, what type of messages they receive, why they receive them and how they opted in. The description must match the selected campaign use case.
The sample messages do not match the campaign
Sample messages should look like the texts you will actually send. Include the real brand name, use bracketed fields such as [First Name], keep the content consistent with the use case and include opt-out wording in at least one sample. HighLevel requires at least two clear examples.
The campaign contains prohibited or high-risk content
Some industries and message types are restricted or disallowed. If the rejection identifies prohibited, deceptive or high-risk content, changing a sentence may not make the campaign eligible. Read the exact code before attempting another submission.
What to fix before you resubmit
Do not fix only the first error shown. Review the whole submission because a reviewer may reject the campaign at the first problem and find another issue on the next review.
- The legal business name, EIN and address exactly match the tax record.
- The correct Standard Brand or Sole Proprietor registration type is being used.
- The website loads publicly and clearly identifies the business.
- The direct opt-in form URL is included in the campaign.
- The SMS checkbox is optional, separate and unchecked by default.
- The consent text explains message type, frequency, rates and STOP instructions.
- The privacy policy and terms are public and linked beside the form.
- The privacy policy addresses mobile information and consent data.
- The campaign use case matches the description and real sending activity.
- At least two sample messages match the declared use case.
- The real brand name appears in the sample messages.
- At least one sample explains how to opt out.
- Every rejection reason under View required fixes has been corrected.
How to resubmit a rejected A2P campaign in GoHighLevel
Open the Trust Center
Open the affected sub-account, then go to the Trust Center.
HighLevel path: Settings → Phone Numbers → Trust CenterOpen every required fix
Find the rejected campaign and select View required fixes. Record the error code, what it means and the correction requested. Repeat this for every listed rejection.
Correct the source, not only the application
If the form or website is the problem, update the live page first. If the legal name is wrong, verify it against the tax record. If the sample messages are inconsistent, rewrite them to match the real campaign.
Review the full submission again
Compare the business profile, brand name, website, opt-in proof, privacy policy, terms, use case, description and sample messages. They should tell one consistent story.
Resubmit or create the required new campaign
If HighLevel allows the affected fields to be edited, correct them and resubmit the campaign. If the required field is locked, follow the rejection instruction and create a new campaign instead of repeatedly sending the unchanged application.
A2P consent and sample message examples
Use these only as a starting point. Replace the brand, message type, frequency and links so they accurately describe your business and the messages you really plan to send.
By checking this box, I agree to receive appointment reminders and service updates from [Brand Name] by SMS. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. View our Privacy Policy and Terms.
[Brand Name]: Hi [First Name], your appointment is scheduled for [Date] at [Time]. Reply C to confirm or call [Phone Number] if you need to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out.
[Brand Name]: Hi [First Name], thanks for requesting information about [Service]. Would you like us to send available appointment times? Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Do not copy blindly: If your campaign is for marketing, customer care, account notifications or another use case, the wording must reflect that exact purpose.
After you resubmit
The campaign returns to review after an eligible resubmission. Review time can vary, so watch the status in the Trust Center instead of creating duplicate campaigns.
If you see GoHighLevel A2P registration rejected again, open the new required fixes. A later review may identify an additional issue that was not shown the first time. If the reason is unclear or the system reports an unknown error, contact HighLevel support with the business name, campaign details and rejection code.
GoHighLevel A2P rejection FAQs
Can I resubmit a rejected GoHighLevel A2P campaign?
Yes, eligible rejection reasons can be corrected and resubmitted. Review every required fix first. Disallowed or high-risk content may not qualify for standard resubmission.
Should I edit the rejected campaign or create a new one?
Edit and resubmit when the required fields are available. If the use case, opt-in message or another locked field must change, HighLevel may require a new campaign. Follow the correction shown for the specific rejection code.
Does my A2P form need a separate SMS checkbox?
Yes. SMS consent should be a separate, optional action and the checkbox should be unchecked by default. A contact should still be able to submit the form without agreeing to promotional text messages.
Why was my A2P brand rejected?
Common brand rejection causes include a legal name, EIN or address that does not match the official tax record, the wrong registration type, an invalid website or an unverifiable business identity.

How long does A2P resubmission take?
Review time varies by carrier and registration partner. Monitor the Trust Center for the current status. If the status does not move or the rejection is unclear, contact HighLevel support.
Was your A2P application rejected?
