GoHighLevel Mobile App Notifications Not Working on iPhone
If GoHighLevel mobile notifications are not working on your iPhone, check both sides of the connection. The notification must be enabled for your HighLevel user, and iOS must allow the app to deliver it. The usual causes are the Mobile App channel, contact assignment, iPhone permissions, Focus or Scheduled Summary.
Here is why teams notice this late: the contact enters HighLevel correctly while the assigned user never receives the phone alert. We test one controlled event, then compare the HighLevel user, contact ownership and iPhone settings in that order.
Open the HighLevel, LeadConnector or agency-branded mobile app your organization uses. Confirm you are signed in with the same user who belongs to the affected subaccount.
If you manage several locations, switch to the correct one before testing.
2. Turn on the Mobile App notification channel in HighLevel
In the web app, open Settings > My Profile > Notifications. HighLevel’s current user notification guide lets each user choose Web, Desktop, Email, Mobile App and SMS for supported events.
Enable the Mobile App channel for the events you need, such as:
A conversation is assigned to you.
A new message arrives in a conversation assigned to you.
A task is assigned or approaching its due time.
An appointment or calendar event needs attention.
Save the profile settings. Notification preferences are user-specific, so an agency admin enabling their own alerts does not enable yours.
3. Check conversation ownership
If you enabled notifications only for assigned conversations, confirm the test conversation is actually assigned to your user. A new message in an unassigned conversation may not match your selected notification rule.
For live chat, HighLevel’s notification guide explains that conversation alerts use the channels selected in My Profile.
4. Allow notifications in iPhone settings
On the iPhone, open Settings > Notifications, select the relevant HighLevel or agency app and turn on Allow Notifications.
Enable the places where you want alerts to appear:
Open Control Center and see whether a Focus is active. A Work, Sleep or Do Not Disturb Focus can silence or delay app notifications.
If you need urgent CRM alerts during that Focus, add the HighLevel app to the allowed apps. Also check Share Across Devices if an iPad, Mac or Apple Watch is applying the Focus to your iPhone.
6. Check Scheduled Summary
iOS can hold non-urgent notifications and deliver them later as a summary. Open Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary. Remove the HighLevel app from the summary if you need immediate lead and conversation alerts.
7. Update the mobile app and iOS
Install the latest available app version from the App Store and update iOS if appropriate for your device. Mobile releases often include notification and background-behavior fixes.
After updating, close and reopen the app, then sign out and back in only if the problem continues.
8. Check background and battery settings
Turn off Low Power Mode during testing and confirm Background App Refresh is available for the app. Push notifications should not depend entirely on the app staying open, but restrictive device settings can affect background behavior and alert handling.
9. Run a controlled test
Assign a test conversation to your user.
Lock the iPhone screen.
Send a new inbound message from a separate contact.
Confirm the event appears in GoHighLevel.
Check whether Web, Email and Mobile App alerts arrive.
If the web or email alert arrives but mobile does not, focus on the app session and iPhone settings. If no channel receives the notification, check the HighLevel event rule, assignment and user profile.
10. Reinstall only after checking the account settings
Reinstalling can refresh the device’s push registration, but it should not be the first step. Record the app name, version, iOS version, user email, subaccount and failed event before reinstalling or contacting support.

Frequently asked questions
Why do GoHighLevel notifications work on desktop but not iPhone?
The HighLevel event is likely working, but the Mobile App channel, app session or iOS notification permission is blocking mobile delivery.
Why are GoHighLevel notifications delayed on iPhone?
Check Scheduled Summary, Focus settings, Low Power Mode and whether iOS is delivering the app’s alerts immediately.
Do notification settings apply to every GoHighLevel user?
No. Each user controls their own notification channels and events in My Profile.
Will reinstalling the app fix push notifications?
It can refresh the app’s device registration, but check account permissions, assignments and iOS settings first.
Why do I receive some conversation alerts but not others?
Your preferences may cover assigned conversations only. Compare the missing conversation’s owner and follower status with the enabled rules.
Still missing important lead alerts?
We can review the user notification rules, assignments and test events across desktop and mobile without changing unrelated account settings.
